Recently got myself one of these - https://simonbbc.com/powerspark-profess ... ark-tl100/
Tried using it last night and couldn't get it to see the spark. I had the two power loads connected to my cars battery and confirmed i had power at the gun with my multi-meter but it just won't strobe at all.
Made sure I had the pick up the correct way on the HT lead so all looks good. Unfortunately I don't having anything else I can test the gun on to confirm it is working ok but i've been assured it was tested before it was shipped to me.
Just wondering if there any reasons why a working timing light wouldn't be able to see the spark signal?
Cheers.

I've got one of those. It's excellent.
Two comments -
1) you have to have a spark plug attached to the HT lead.
2) You have to pull the trigger when you want the strobe to fire.
Can't think of any other reason it won't work. Make sure the arrow is pointing towards the spark plug, which you say you've checked.

I threw all of my old shitty timing guns and bought one of these.
It’s got an internal battery so no need to look for a supply, and no supply leads to get tangled.
Works first time, every time...

Wow that's nice looking but expensive, but then again my 3rd 20 quid one arrived just today so I've spent half that already on cheap ones....
