thanks all for your input , it may well have been the damage to the taper caused by the key shearing , although i thought i`d lapped it well enough, got a new puller tonight tried that on it , broke out the oxy-acetelene bottles too ,got the boss glowing red hot in a last ditch attempt but no luck :shock: have now started removing the engine to make it bit easier grinding it offImageImage

The boss looks thoroughly jammed in the stator or is that just the angle of the picture?

Joe you have done well to get this far I would now break out the angle grinder. If you cut it on the woodruff key side you should still be away from the taper enough for it to come off like a mag side inner bearing. Good luck

wack it on ebay, just put the words rare, Lambretta, ulma, original, SX Li Gp Ts1,Rb ,Original NOS in the description, you should recoup some of your losses !
