Hi all,
Sorry for all the questions! Ive just pulled apart my mates PX200 engine and a chunk of the cruciform had broken off laying in the bottom of the casing. The engine is apparently a 1986 engine and the gear layshaft drive has shims/circlips at both ends so im guessing its an EFL gearbox. When taking the cruciform out i found it was the earlier tapered style one that had broken and there was no small washer fitted either.Am i right in thinking this engine requires the flat EFL style cruciform without the small washer on rebuild?
Cheers,Neil.
Wrong cruciform?

EFL gearbox , shimmed at both ends of the layshaft (axle) requires a flat cruciform with NO washer on the selector rod.
