The tie bar must be free to pivot at both ends otherwise you will effectively lock the suspension, the tie bar I got with my anti dive kit had a crude type of rose joint to allow this. I wouldn't leave nuts and bolts loose on suspension thoughrbgaz wrote:should the two nuts and bolts on the tie bar on the scootsrs antidive be a little bit lose so it can pivot on brakeing ?

central so you get a 90degree angle like this, or at least that's my theorydave411 wrote:Central to what?TED CRUD wrote:Cheers Lads ,I think i have sussed it . i have searched older posts and noticed the anti-dive bracket needs to be central for a equal performance .too high and stiff too low and it dips under braking

Nice BGM front dampers, nice powerful disc brake, alloy wheel etc.
So why the crap bracket for the lower damper mounting?
I had them one, both sheard through due to metal fatigue.
I got a great pair of the right trailing links, made by MBD, and they are superb.

Spanner check the running gear before every outing, like in the Army. You know it makes sense!

Ok
Just keep an eye on those lower brackets for any hairline cracks.
Enjoy your scoot and keep the faith.
Cheers
