Can anyone recommend a good high temperature 'clear coat' paint for exhausts... I've bought a new pipe which is oiled bare steel, and so will need to be treated/coated with something suitable... I like the bare steel look, so am after some advice on the best products to use to get a durable, clear (matt or satin) finish - out of a can?...
for a show scooter use any high temp clear coat, for a road scoot use the cheap stuff because you might want to redo it every month

Im not sure theres anything out there thats clear and durable at the same. The guys i know that tried have rust coming through under the clear. Kinda weird as you can see it but not touch it.

Zircotec do a metal looking finish, theres also another company called Extreme Temperature Coatings, they seem to have more options in colours and finishes, but none of them are clear. You can't powder coat an exhaust as the downpipe gets too hot.
