no lights

with the scooter running no lights are working.
this goes on for several minutes then they work
any help please have mot on monday

No info on what switches you are using but try flicking the lights on and off or low and high beam as the switches can be a problem. Best to get a meter out and check for loose contacts in the headset. Some wiring looms bring the main feed from the back through the rear brake light switch, worth a look here as well as earthing points

There is an earth cable which appears to be wrapped around the rear frame strut

It goes without saying that ALL earth connections should be bolted to a good rest and paint free earth point.

Bringing this thread back to life
My lights have have decided not to work again.
I have horn and brake light but nothing else

Check your speedo light fitting.I had the same symptoms and found that the main live feed inside my speedo light fitting was shorting to earth when the wire was moved.

It's hit or miss whether they work or not
Sometimes they work after a few minutes
Decided not to work last night as I left work, in the dark
