Looking around I came across the Polini CP23 carburettor. Can't find much in the way of information about them. I'm curious to know if anybody has tried one and how they got on?

What, nobody? This has been bugging me for a while and I bit the bullet and bought one in the end. Initial observations are that it's a lovely bit of kit. Probably smaller than an original 22 and certainly half the weight. Looks to be very well machined with a simpler design than the Dell'Orto's. Jets and parts are cheap and readily available too. Just looking forward to getting it set up now.

Looks good ,must be an improvement on the original

There was a brief article about these carbs in Scootering, probably over a year ago now. I don't think Polini were making any dramatic claims for the carb, more that it was an improvement on tired old SHs and the Spaco and Jetex variants.

Does it use Dell'orto jets?

I'm not entirely sure. I'm not really familiar with the modern Dell'Orto's. I think I read somewhere that it uses Keihin jets. Seems to be enough of them and they are relatively cheap too.

Just looking at that picture on the Chiselspeed site, they don't seem to have much a float chamber

The bowl itself appears shallow. But the chamber itself is probably around about the size of a regular 22 I would have thought. Which, I suppose is what you might expect.

Anyone running 1 of these on there lambretta as I've got my hands on a jet200 st4 tuned and it's got a cp23 on it so just wondering what set up you's running !mines running air box no filter
