working on a series 2 that looks as though its never been apart before, don't think I have ever had my hands on one that's never been apart, even the top chain guide is unworn, could it be as it left the factory ? the locking tabs have never been touched.

could this lambretta engine be as it left the factory ?
Just finishing a 62 S3 Li resto that looks exactly the same. Spotless 4 pole stator as well and like yours tab washers and bolts in the obvious places show non of the tell tale marks of ever being undone

Nice. Enjoy the Zen like moment. Just don't tell me you're going to stick an AF clutch in it along with a five speed box now.

its all going back together as is, apart from new seals and bearings and a new clutch and top tensioner, a real pleasure to work on, everything is prestine and fits so well.
