Hi all, I have a different issue from my usual engine woes today. This time its the lineup of the screws on the horncast, The top screws under the headset lineup fine. However the bottom two miss the holes by about 2-3 mm. The screws do lineup on the mudguard though.
Its only now I have removed the horncast to try and get to the bottom of this issue.
I have added some pics on my Flickr account

that looks like a chrome ring headset with no chrome ring if you measure from the steering lock down none chrme ring is 10mm that looks about 3mm witch is chrome ring
It's an old scooter, they get knocked about, bits changed, bits damaged.
If you haven't painted it, deal with it. It may mean making new holes/enlarging holes in the leggy's.
I've had a situation where the horncast has been compressed and have had to ease it back to fit it.

Hi Garry, You may well be right with this. This scooter is a right mixup as I have found on different occasions!
