here are a few pics of my Italian gp125
sorry I aint got many "before" pics but basically, bought a standard 69 gp that had just been imported from Italy, got it on the road then set about the engine and ended up with what's in it now as I wanted to get the engine as I wanted it before I restored it then I wouldn't be messing around with it and damaging any paintwork etc
Tried to use as much of the original bike as possible and anything I replaced I tried to replace with original or "reproduction" Italian parts
stripping down :
starting rebuild :
and finally :
brief engine spec is 186 Imola ultimate (ported and matched) 30mm PHBH, franspeed supertourer, 5 plate clutch, Augusto 7000, mid weight flywheel , sx200 box with 14/46 (5.1 final drive) GPS’d @ 84mph and the only one of my mates that can keep with me is an MB built TS1 230 !
My GP
Very nice.

Well done on the small block engine..................just goes to show you dont need 240 cc to do 80mph
