 Post subject: Nackered P2 barrel

A mate in our club said his scoot didnt seem to have the same power as it used to the compression seemed ok no leaks etc.

So after the article in scootering about tuning the standard p2 he dicided to let me loose on his engine but I think his cylinder is nacked.

As you can see the cylinder wall has some slight marks on it.
this scoot is an s reg P2 disc he is the second owner from new and it has done about 6000 miles from new it was an old guy that had it before him.
The ignition timing was set at 18 deg and the piston looks like it has never had a circlip on one side the marks on the cylinder were made by the gudgeon pin sliding out and rubbing it was about 1-2 mm shorter than the one we put on with the new kit.
Do you think this was a Friday afternoon or Monday morning scoot
