Am I right that to fit a T5 motor to a PX frame I need to fit a T5 rear brake cable ? Not worked on a T5 for a while and seem to remember that the rear brake arm is different which could probably be swapped for the PX one but the casing doesn't have the adjuster and the T5 outer has a sleeve to locate it? Other than that I think the motors are a straight swap,I think?
Pretty much as you said.
Easy to fit T5 cable, and easier to adjust as well.

Probably around 10 years since I looked close at one but the motor is a straight swop other than the cable as you've mentioned, T5's that I've worked on used the threaded rear section with the knurled adjuster rather than the normal cable and clamped fixing.

You might have to cut a slit in the P range brake where the outer seats in the pedal, just wide enough the let the inner pass through it. T5 cables are different at the front end as well; you can't remove the inner from the outer. It's easy enough to do - 5 minutes and a hacksaw.

Fitted one of those to the rear brake on Dox's scooter Ada ....Fits ok but the small clamping bolt is made of cheese, we had to bodge a nipple on as well ( to be sure) when bolt head sheard off ....might pay to find your own bolt to fit .soulboy wrote:good idea that is wack is it any good
