I'm asking for some advice here in buying a headlight rim for an Italian G.P. I've heard of and seen badly fitting rims and would like to avoid filling the bin with poor items. Any of you guys got recommendations as to who sells the right fit product. Thank you. ;)

The only advice I can give you is to try as many as you can and find the closest that fits its not always the rim thats at fault over time 40 plus years in your case the headset will have been on and off many times which can lead to distortion clearly if the headset is still fitted then thats not practical GOOD LUCK

Resto's did have some genuine ones but they needed chroming. Interestingly I've just bought an LI Special import that is all original and the rim doesn't fit the base perfectly so makes me wonder if they ever did from the factory?

Got mine from Scooter Restorations too.
It wasn't cheap (£30 I think?) but it fitted properly and I'd already tried 2 others that didn't (including one on a PM complete fancy headlamp unit).

Thackers.....I've got brand new one here you can take and try. No idea if its any good of not.

Return it of its no good, pay for it if you want to keep it.
