Scootopia mounts.
On my last pair of 3 hole Indian mounts the rubber parted with the outer steel after just 600km since installed.
They came from scooter centre and was sold as SIL but came with no marking or brand on them.
Yes darling,but is it art?

The extended AF ones I find very good. I've got some BGM ones fitted on another engine which is yet to see use, and some Scootopia ones which I might try for the hell of it. Eventually I will be able to compare them. But don't hold your breath.
I did an experiment.
I bought a 2-hole SIL mount from Scooter-center and replaced the flywheel side scootopia mount with this indian 2-hole one. I kept the scootopia mount on the kickstart side. The vibrations are much better, still a lot more than before but at least they are bearable now.
This way I hope I'll get the best of two mounts, a stiff one on kickstart and a soft one on flywheel.
On my other bike, the RT 195, I have BGM mounts, absolutely lovely to ride.

They are a fight to get hold of, (I get them from http://www.olimpiaparts.eu when they have a batch in stock), however all those that I've purchased a set for have not come back to me to complain that they cause what is described above with the various other mounts on the market?
However, vibration on a Lambretta isn't just down to the engine mounts. Anything from forks at the front through to a rear shock at the back can add to, or be the cause, of annoying vibration?

You can also get them from STF Lambretta (SX/Special or GP/dl) or direct from Tutto (better to call rather than email).
As a side note, it's interesting that the original Innocenti blueprints specified that the centre tube should protrude by 2mm. Yet, as you can see from the second image below (appropriated from the GSF), the difference between various reproduction mounts varies wildly.
And based on that picture we should stick to SIL 2 hole mounts!

I tried filling all the voids in some old but usable original mounts a few years back. I used clear silicone from a gun. There was a definite improvement in the vibes and handling seemed better.
Now whether or not this was due to "modification " that worked, or I was simply restoring some rigidity to the unit I don't know. The mounts worked well for years after that and were still OK when the bike was sold on.

Scootering since 1968.
The cheap ones from Indian can cause vibration, although I used an API mounts from Indian that looked and felt good quality. I'm surprised with Scootopia as they make the best remade parts, together with Tutto by far.
