I have in my scooter an sil 200 motor with af crank, bored out sil cylinder to suit 70mm Avanti piston so 225.AF Clubman and 28mm Delorto carb. The clutch is standard 4 plate and It could do with a new chain and sprockets. The whole motor including exhaust will be up for sale, I will pull it out and ship it no probs. What's it worth or how much do I expect to get for this motor,Thanks for any input, ;)

£500 - £700 ?

Maybe worth more if you broke it up and sold the parts individually (carb, casings, crank, flywheel, etc)

Standard one straight off the boat is about a grand and you'd need to spend that again.

I'd have thought you might get about that for yours.

Would it not be easier to sell the fecker complete though?

Aye it would Ross,my problem is I don't really know what I want and have too many crazy ideas with too little cash to back them up.

Are you after another lambretta engine?
If so why sell this one.
Its a 200 case with af crank and 28 mm carb.
Surely the most cost effective is to either run what you have

Buy a new cylinder kit, uprated clutch and sprocket to suit the kit and chain.
you have the basics, so probably best to save for a new cylinder.
I may be wrong however. Other opinions are available.
I am now wondering about the avanti for a future project engine.
The cylinder kit sounds very good, as does the gt kit.
