Re: GP original CEV headlight anorak question
The one without the dots has the little planet, what makes you think neither is original?

GP original CEV headlight anorak question
There was once an extensive discussion on the old LCGB site about GP CEV headlights but I can't remember what was said. I have a definate original, but I recently bought on off e bay as a repro. On closer inspection I'm not sure it is. The one on the right is original and the one on the left looks l...

Re: 1970 GP150 turquoise or orbit orange?
Well, finally started the rebuild and got the engine put together over a couple of weekends. The casings were in a terrible state, all furred up and caked in grime. Lots of elbow grease, WD40 and wet and dry and they have improved a bit. I didn't want to get them blasted as I'm going for the old wor...

Re: 200 cylinder to small block conversion?
The bottom end is already built with the original 1970 crank.Grumpy225 wrote:That sounds like the hard way to do it.
Why not just long stroke a 65mm bore?
a 60mm stroke crank will give you 199cc on a 65mm bore with no case or cylinder mods.

Re: 200 cylinder to small block conversion?
Turning down the spiggot and drilling the stud holes to 13/14 mm allows the 200 cylinder to be fitted onto a small block casing. It's straightforward, if anyone knows who can do it let me know.hungdog wrote:?

200 cylinder to small block conversion?
Hello
Does anyone know of a dealer/engineer in the West Yorkshire area that will convert a GP200 cylinder and head for a small block casing? Oiltech only convert casings. If anyone fancies the job or knows anyone please let me know.
Cheers

Re: Motorcycles
I have a 1953 Royal Enfield 500 Bullet, lovely big softly tuned single full or torque, sounds and rides like a dumper truck. Completely different from my 1970 GP but both classics.
