EFL gearbox , shimmed at both ends of the layshaft (axle) requires a flat cruciform with NO washer on the selector rod.

my money is on the flywheel, ive got a scoot in that wouldn't run with the twin keyway electronic flywheel fitted , swapped it to a standard old heavy flywheel and it fired up after a few kicks. it sparked like a guddun with the plug out. probably the keyways a mile out.

aye , they are hit and miss with the quality of the cranks, just changed a low mileage one on a 2012 model LML , again, big end solidly seized. gaz powell off here watched me put a fooked lml crank in the Vice, and whack the conrod with a lump hammer...DOING!..... didn't move! :shock: so, yeah, chan...

agree, just dress the raggy bits off, and use some silicon sealant around the base gasket. should be ok. ya clumsy get!

the JL pipe on mine (stainless) is very thin, and all the welds are pretty flush with the plate its made from, making a good looking pipe, but it isn't very strong, most of the times its been the weld what has cracked out. I always tell the welder (Flavells engineering of Thornaby) to not dress the ...

mild steel everytime. the stainless exhausts ive had , (ive got a stainless JL on me vespa) crack for fun. never seen one that didn't, the stainless Devtours for lammys are good pipes, but need welding every year. my JL has been welded 3 times , 20 quid a time, so sounds cheap...but then a 300 quid ...
