Checked the measurements and the bowl is 63 mm . Piston is 64mm Is it worth getting the bowl opened by 1 mm? If so any particular instructions to give the machine shop?
Thanks!

Correct cylinder head SR 185 kit ?
I just picked up an SR 185 kit from my local dealer in Kuala Lumpur and noticed that the head has 175 cast in it as per attached photo. On checking all the kits the dealer has in stock they were all the same and the head looks different when compared with a standard 175 head. Question is do they tak...

Re: Li3 125 Engine Upgrade questions
What I've decided to do is to build a strong bottom end using a Gp crank with Yamaha rod, top quality bearings etc. and put a cleaned up SR 185 top end on it. The idea being that if this meets my goals with regards to performance etc. then great but if not at a later date can always simply change th...

Re: Li3 125 Engine Upgrade questions
Originally I hadn't planned to pull the engine apart for a while and was just thinking of carb and pipe . However keep finding more to do on the body and frame so am thinking will do a full rebuild. Don't really want to spend 600 quid plus on the cylinder and carb now so was thinking of building a s...

Re: Lambretta legshield repair
As it turned out the lip hadn't been cut off at all just bent over and masses of filler applied. Floor section had steel welded on top of the corroded metal and a bunch more filler. AzmiScooters is currently sorting it all for me. Loads of filler being removed from side panels as well. Will be much ...

Li3 125 Engine Upgrade questions
I have a 1964 LI 125 which has been subject to a local " restoration" here in Malaysia. I'm currently re re-restoring the bodywork, and doing some suspension/ brake upgrades, inboard disc with hydraulic conversion, dampers, MB progressive for springs, 12v conversion, LED tail light etc so ...

Re: Lambretta legshield repair
Thanks. For the responses. I'll give a local panel beater a try. I quite like the slightly slimmed down look in fact. Can anyone point me to some pictures of early S type with trimmed legshields as I might well try and copy the look.
Cheers

Lambretta legshield repair
I'm in the process of re-restoring an LI 125 that's been the subject of a "budget" restoration here in Malaysia. The legshields have a couple of issues. The floor panel areas have rusted through in the past and been poorly repaired ( looks great from the top though :D ) but I don't think i...
