Re: TV175 Legshield badge
There are two types of TV175 legshield badges. The first version was used on the TV/1 and early TV/2, but was changed when the TV/2 frame number changed. The second version continued to the end of TV/3 production. Casa sell both types. https://www.riminilambrettacentre.com/media/catalog/product/cach...

Re: TV175 2nd series light switch housing
Wow! That's a terrible fit. I was looking at buying a Casa replacement a while back, but have since managed to find an original. I'm really glad I didn't buy one now. AFAIK Casa are the only company remaking these. 1.) Send it back and demand a refund. This the only way that manufacturers will stop ...

Re: GT186 manifold - carb fouling engine mount
A quick update: In order to fit a Mikuni TM24 I cut the 'upswept' end off a 30mm GT manifold and rotated it approximately 90 degrees so it pointed forward. The end was then cut flush. After measuring clearance more times than I care to count, a laser cut flange, that I specifically designed to fit a...

Re: Re:
Believe you me, if there were a suitable elbow/bellows 'off the shelf' for even a moderately sized carburettor.... such as 30 mm, I would have bought one. Are the BGM 'Armadillo' air hoses not 'off the shelf'? I've been running one on a Mikuni flat slide with a wide neck airbox for close to 2 years...

Re: RS Clubman 42mm
I won a 42mm RS Clubman on eBay 2 years ago. It was in really good condition and I paid £138 for it. There was several other bidders and it was listed correctly.

Re: lambretta paint jobs
UK paint prices are cheap! Here in the US, a reasonable paint job in factory colors, from someone who regularly paints Lambrettas, will set you back ~$2,500 and a concourse job $3,500 - $4,000.

Re: Casa vs. Scootopia
@Vegansydney Where is this 200cc small block kit you are referring to? It was posted on Casa Lambretta's social media channels late last month . According to Vittorio, it's based on the Casa 185, but uses a 66.4mm piston, has an enlarged inlet face (so non-OEM manifolds can be used) and a fifth por...

Re: Casa vs. Scootopia
The squish on my Scootopia kit is 1.5mm which they told me was about right. Did you also measure the compression ratio when you built it? If so, what did you find? It appears all three kits (Casa v1, v2, and Scootopia) have the same compression ratio. If anyone knows any different, I'd be very inte...

Re: Casa vs. Scootopia
Some quick measurements by a Casa dealer here in the US makes me believe that the compression ratio of the current version (2015+) of the Casa 185 head remains the same as the earlier (pre-2015) version: a geometric compression of 10.8:1 with a 1.1mm squish clearance. A UK based dealer has also told...

Re: PWK jetting, running through airbox
A very informative post and the most interesting thing I've read on here recently. Thanks for sharing! I'm also running a couple of TS185 conversions though the air box with BGM filters and BGM 'armadillo' air hoses, albeit on Mikuni TM24s. I also found most of the widely available knowledge on the ...
