Vespa 100
Got a 1981 Vespa 100 (douglas) to fix up. It's got a couple of missing parts. Shoulkd it have a plastic or metal cylinder head cowling? Should it have a coil or CDI and regulator? What parts are needed to make complete throttle internals? What colours was this model originally made in? Cheers, Ian

Erratic tickover T5
T5, standard spec, in good order generally now has really high tickover revs but manages to run ok. Carb and jets not loose, throttle cable not snagged anywhere, obviously I've adjusted the tickover screw to where it sounds fine but once you blip the throttle it revs like mad and takes a long time t...

Re: T5 stator problems?
Cheers for the reply, The scooter runs but with a misfire. I've tested the resistances with one probe from the multimeter in the green connector and one in the white , got no reading and then moved the probe from the white to the red and again, no reading. The main symptoms are ,it dies when you ope...

T5 stator problems?
On a 1998, standard T5, I've been having a misfire, once warmed up, with the engine dying when pulling away at the lights or cutting out as you're riding along, tick over inconsistent and then running ok. No resistance showing on multimeter from either pick up or the coils. I've tried a new spark pl...
