Cheers for the comments, creeping slowly forwards. Going to finish off with the borrowed front hub so I can get an MOT and finalise registration which will no doubt take longer than hoped.

Just about finished my rebuild of a '70 GP125. Engine is a Stage 4ish 225 Harry Barlow barrel, nothing much else of excitement. Harry Barlow at Pro-Porting in Leicester sells modified main jets and atomisers for 22mm Dellorto/Jetex - he does the modifications himself.

It would tickover on the stand but when going on to idle when pulling up at lights etc. it would splutter and stall. I've no idea how or why, just that it made a difference. Just some of my own experience.

I was messing around with a 225 conversion running a standard airbox, filter and clubman exhaust and really struggled to get a decent idle without the scoop fitted.

Cheers. I went all posh and got the rusty scabs blasted off. Will deffo try the gloss roller, should get the paint job done for less than 20 quid I reckon. I was accused of being tight yesterday.
