Re: Reedvalve - any suggestions for a smallblock?
I've done a bunch of the V4 ultimate Muggys on small blocks with the LTH reed. Opening up the boost port in the cylinder is relatively easy & worth it (assuming you are handy with a rotary tool). Same with the piston. They sort of outline it for you on the V4. Clearance work on the barrel for th...

Re: Riding a Standard TV175 S3
Smooth from the longer rod? Yes. Less friction from moving at a less aggressive angle within the barrel.
I have an early one - basically stock, but electronic & 42mm clubman. Easily keeps up with stock 200s, just not quite as much torque sometimes.

Common setup. I've done bunches with that carb.
I like that needle in tandem with a 266 atomizer. Typically wants a larger idle than that for a 200...
Maybe spring for the larger aperture float seat while you're at it. 300 is the one I like.

Re: Mugello Jetting query
On those 25mm carbs - I like the 266 tube with a D29 needle a little better.
Might be worth a shot.

Re: super tourer on a RB20?
- 30mm Dellorto or 33mm Keihin.
- An exhaust that makes more broad power over peaky power.
- Get good head.
- Variable advance ignition if you're really good.
These things have made decent tour set ups on some that I've had my hands in.
Best of luck.

Maybe try a D26 or D29 needle. I've had good success with those...

You might try a 266 atomiser. I have had better success with those - especially w/a D29.

Re: 25mm Dellorto set up....grrrrr :(
I've had good success with the 266 atomiser & a D29 needle in 25mm carbs. It's similar to the D26, but has a different final taper. Always seems to work better for me.
I also make a point to be sure that the needle seat is a 300, not a 200.
